Galvanized Cross Arm

Description:

The cross arm is also called angle steel,which is crosswise fixed on the top of wire pole with porcelain bottle to support overhead. It is an important part of pole and tower,which is used to install insulator and power fittings to support wires,lightning wire and keep safe distance with each other according to the regulation.

Types:

The cross arm can be divided into direct line cross arm,buck cross arm and tension cross arm in accordance with usages.

In accordance with materials,the cross arm can be divided into iron cross arm,porcelain cross arm and composite insulating cross arm.

Usage:

Direct line cross arm:Only considering the vertical load and horizontal load of wires under the normal condition of unbroken wire;

Tension cross arm:besides bearing vertical load and horizontal load of wires,the pull force deviation also needs to be considered.

Buck cross arm:beside bearing vertical load and horizontal load of wires,bigger single side wire pull force also needs to be considered.

Using single cross arm for straight line pole or angle pole with angle below 15°in accordance with stress conditions of cross arm.Using double cross arm for angle pole,tension pole,terminal pole and branch pole with angle above 15°.
